On Tuesday, 7 November 2023, delegation of UIN Imam Bonjol Padang: Drs. Mardius, M.M. (Head of Partnership and Collaboration), Aryanaldi, SE., (Head of Financial), and Trinitaria Marlis Putri, M.M. (Lecturer of Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business) benchmarking visit to University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB).
The first visit was to School of Environmental Science and Management (SESAM). They were welcomed by SESAM Dean Prof. Rico Ancog, SESAM Head of Research Division, Dr. Yusuf A. Sucol and researchers of 1HEALTH Project: Ms. Paulliene Leanne Masungsong and Ms. Curille Eliz Gregorio. In this appointment, both parties gave a brief introduction, discussing the next fiture collaboration in halal industry.
UIN was well-known as an Islamic Studies expert while SESAM known for it’s specification on environmental sciences.
Second is to School of Economics and Management (SEM) UPLB, welcomed by Dean Prof. Ma. Angeles O. Catelo and Prof. Jeff Arapoc. In this agenda, both agreed to do student mobility program and mini conference for the lecturers.
Last, UIN delegation were greeted by the Director of Office of International Linkage (OIL) UPLB: Prof. Anna Floresca F. Firmalino in her office. Further talk about documents and things needed for the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) were discussed and the next steps will be available through zoom meetings and or emails.
